Fresh Supplies, Fresh Start

My students need new supplies to help start our year off right! We need indoor recess games that will help challenge our brains, UNO and Jenga would be so fun!

My Students

What are we in 2nd grade? We are flexible and organized! My students walk into my classroom every day excited for the new adventures on which I will take them. They are eager to see what each new day will bring and willing to try their very best in every activity they engage in.

My classroom is an inclusion classroom servicing Special Education students in a general education setting.

I have to use a lot of differentiation throughout my school day to be sure I am reaching and allowing each student access to the curriculum to the best of their ability. I spend hours modifying, creating, and altering assignments so that each student can be confident in his/her work and feel like they are able to meet the requirements for every assignment.

Also, in my class, I have many students who are a part of nutrition club, which gives them food weekly to bring home. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day. They know my classroom is their happy and safe place.

My Project

I am requesting supplies to help my students start their year off successfully. I am requesting indoor recess games like UNO and Jenga that help challenge their mind. We love technology but sometimes a good old board game is a students best bet for recess! Games teach them not only turn taking and sportsmanship but also how to work and communicate with others. I am also requesting dry erase boards for each student so we do not have to share and each student can have their own set. I am requesting some new books to help with read alouds. We also would love the foot bands for all those active students who need some movement while working!
