This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’m starting an exciting new chapter as I move to a new school and I’d love to bring my students into a classroom that feels fresh, welcoming, and full of possibility.

To create a space where students feel inspired, safe, and excited to learn, I’m requesting a variety of resources that will help me set up an organized, engaging, and student-centered environment.

These include flexible floor seats that give students choice in how and where they learn, supporting focus and comfort during independent reading, group work, and reflection time. I’m also asking for a document camera to enhance visual learning, allowing me to model writing, read alouds, and problem-solving strategies in real time so every student can follow along more easily.

In addition, I’m requesting easel pads for small group instruction and anchor charts that support our learning throughout the year. These visual references will help students retain key concepts and encourage independence. Organizational tools and updated classroom materials will replace many of my current supplies that have been worn out or damaged, especially while I was on maternity leave.

Your support will help me build a classroom that’s not only functional, but full of joy and purpose; a place that truly feels like home for every student who walks through the door. Thank you for helping us start strong and stay inspired all year long!
