This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love the library. My students love to read. It breaks my heart when they come into the library and we do not have any new books for them to read. Many of our books are old and/or falling apart.

We need to inject new life into the library by offering fresh reading material that students are interested in reading!

I currently have a large group of students that come into the library every morning before school to bring back the books they got the previous day and check out new ones. Right now, they often leave empty handed because they have already read everything of interest to them.
