Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work in a non-traditional classroom space we call the clubhouse. The clubhouse includes members with the most diverse learning styles and needs. The teachers in this classroom use a variety of tools to help students access their learning, their feelings, and overcome obstacles.
Your donation will help us to get food, fun games, and fantastic tools to help get to learning.
Sometimes simple things like needing a snack can keep students from being able to start an assignment. When a student is emotionally dysregulated, they need tools like feelings posters and reference tools to help them identify and verbalize what's bothering them before they can get to learning. The fidgets and flexible seating in this project will help students to feel comfortable while they focus.
