Fresh Air Is the Best for Cooperative Social Play

Help me give my students soccer balls, basketballs, and a basketball portable hoop to play with friends during recess time. Give them skills to share, make up games, and cooperate with peers during social play.

My Students

The students of my kindergarten class are kind, loving, and eager to learn. My classroom is geared towards hands-on learning where students are always engaging in manipulatives and building positive relationships with one another. Their energetic attitudes and love for learning keeps me motivated as a teacher to give them the best education possible.

Kinder students at our school support one another and are always striving to do their best, each and every day.

I hope through DonorsChoose we can bridge the Title I gap that our students face. I hope to help my students make positive changes in our world through giving them a great kindergarten education.

My Project

I will be sharing these materials with the other two classrooms on my campus. Our kindergarten students need more than just a few swings, and an open sandbox with no toys, and a play structure. They need toys to play with to build in the sand. The teachers will be working with small groups to teach rules of basketball and taking turns. The sand toys will be used with students by working together to build castles, cities, and other structures talked about in social studies or science. Students will learn how to ask friends to play, how to ask for turns, how to create rules to their own game of soccer or basketball. Students will be taught how to take turns by kicking the balls back and forth between a group of students. Please help my school get some new fun playground equipment for our kindergarten students to explore the outdoors in various ways during the week.
