My students need 30 pairs of headphones to use with the computers in our language lab.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Cannon's classroom raised $727
This project is fully funded
I teach high school French in a school that is in a low-income,high crime area, with a good portion of our students receiving free lunch. Even so, this is a college preparatory school and my students need 4 years of a English, math, science and foreign language in order to fulfill our high school requirement. We are a Blue Ribbon School, that produces National Merit Scholars and is highly ranked by the Skillman Foundation.
As it is now, if anyone wants to listen to French from the computer, the whole class has to hear it as well, which makes for some comical and some irritating distractions. Because of this situation I find myself avoiding using the computers to teach French right now, even though I know the Internet is a wonderful resource for doing so.
This grant will help me to teach French to my students by providing headphones for the computers in our language lab. It would be nice if I could provide a headphone for each computer so that students could study French in peace.
Your donation will mean that my students will have all the tools that they need to learn not just French, but to be independent, to be use technology, to become lifelong learners.
