Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students enter my class each day to learn French. However, in southern California, they often have limited exposure to French culture, cuisine, and especially French literature.

I strive to create an environment that encourages them to learn and use the target language, French, as much as possible.

Often, the only time these students communicate in French is in my classroom. So I do my best to offer them a place to learn that is conducive to them as high school students.

My Project

Students learn best in a vibrant and engaging classroom. By supporting this class you will be helping to create an opportunity for high school kids to learn French in a very hands-on way with books, props, and French activities.

Some of these items will also be used for after-school enrichment like the French club.

Students in the club will learn about a new culture and cuisine.

This will also fund new and engaging curriculum opportunities that are posted on Teachers Pay Teachers, a site that pays teachers for the lessons that they develop.
