Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Using these modules will provide my students with hands-on experience in designing, building, and programming advanced drivetrain systems, such as Swerve drives, which are common in competitive robotics.

Building and implementing a Swerve drive requires problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and creativity.

My students will learn how to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and adapt their designs to meet specific challenges. Working with high-quality components like the MK4 Swerve drive modules will help my students develop technical competence in robotics engineering, including mechanical design, electrical wiring, and software integration. FRC competitions emphasize teamwork and collaboration. By working together to integrate these modules into their robot design, my students will strengthen their teamwork skills, communication abilities, and project management capabilities.

We plan to build a robot capable of competing effectively in FRC competitions, achieving high scores, and potentially winning awards. We intend to develop the technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork dynamics necessary for success in robotics and STEM fields.

Coming from a Title I school, my students bring diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and talents to the team, enriching the learning experience for everyone involved. Many Title I students face challenges outside of the classroom, but their resilience, determination, and grit enable them to overcome obstacles and excel in challenging environments. By providing opportunities like robotics participation, you're empowering these students to realize their potential, pursue their passions, and make a positive impact on their communities and beyond.
