Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students come from all over Queens, and reflect the borough's incredible diversity in every way. Through their rich artwork, these artists celebrate their cultural identities, authentically respond to current events, and cultivate their own agencies for change. In addition, their artwork has been selected and shown by the Queens Museum for several years running.
Although my students have achieved great artistic success, they still need a more secure and lasting way to display their work throughout our school gallery.
My Project
By donating to this project, you'll be making a difference to students in how they present the work they are most proud of creating. The frames that your donation will buy can provide young artists with the opportunity to display their work in a professional format. This will motivate individual students to create work for display and result in a larger collective school gallery. This collection of artwork will instill the featured artists with a greater sense of pride in themselves, validation and drive to continue creating. In addition, the school as a whole will enjoy the artwork and be proud of its talent.
