This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This will be the last project for the year where students are drawing pictures about the landscape in the United States and the landscape and environment in Cameroon on puzzles.
Students will learn about the environment/landscape in the United States and Cameroon by creating hand drawn puzzles to send to orphans/refugees in Cameroon with The Memory Project.
The process is: first drawing sketches in their sketchbook about Cameroon on one side of the puzzle and the United States on the other side. Students will then go over their drawings with Sharpie and then color the puzzles with markers. I will send the puzzles to the Memory Project and they will hand deliver them to the orphans /refugees in Cameroon. They will send back a video of the delivery and I will show that to students next year.
