This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Remember going to school and sitting for about 8 hours in a chair listening to the teacher? There were times where you may have wanted to learn and may have not want to learn. My students are the exact same way.
Every single day, they always come prepared to learn new things.
Despite all the challenges they face at home, they enjoy the time listening/talking about what they learned in class and tying what they learned to their own experiences. Their drive to learn new topics in school never stops.
My Project
These materials in this project will add more "fun" when it comes to classroom assignments. We have all been there where we sit in class and dread those paper assignments teachers give as independent work and even group work. To help with the learning of students, we are integrating more stations which is part of the blended learning strategy. The pictures frames will serve as a place holder for instructions for each station. For the other supplies, these materials will be used for group work.
Work in class can always be fun if given a fun twist.
That is where the beach balls and the stickers will come into play. To add some movement and some excitement, the beach balls will be used as a fun brain break and a fun activity on who can answer part of a question. The stickers will also serve as a fun reward for participating in class.
