My Project

My students have grown so much this year! They have been working hard to close the learning gaps and we have made so much progress. As we start the second semester, I don't want us to lose the momentum that we have! We are beginning our fractions unit, which will take us about two months to completely cover all of the content they need to learn.

Fractions aren't easy, but let's make them fun!

My students use an online program called Frax to support classroom instruction of fractions. Through this program, I am able to track their understanding of fractions and see where I need to intervene to help them master our fractions skills. There are two levels of this program, and I have a handful of students that are about to beat the first level! This takes about 3 months to do, so it's a big deal! I want to reward my students that pass this first level with the goodies included in this project. Frax is outer-spaced themed, where students are saving aliens and travelling through space as they learn about fractions. I would love to reward my students with these prizes and use them to motivate the rest of my students that are about halfway done with the first level. I can't wait to see their smiling faces as they receive these rewards. It's important to recognize hard work, and I appreciate your support in helping me out with this recognition!
