Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
“Finance can be defined as the science of money management.” Before students can manage money they need to develop basic math skills like addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, place value, telling time, and money.
My students are a group of dual language learners.
Many of them come from low income families and struggle to be at grade level in math. Many of my students need to improve their math skills.
My Project
The fraction, decimals and multiplication, hands on Kit learning tools will be used on a daily basis for small group instruction. This will give each student the opportunity to master their math skills.
Learning to do math like fractions and solving multiplication and decimals problems will enhance skills that becomes extremely difficult for students to learn in an abstract manner.
They need to be engaged with hands-on materials in order for them to learn mathematical concepts. Therefore it is important to provide an enriched classroom filled with math resources that students can utilize to learn. Every student will have the opportunity to develop basic math skills like fractions, multiplication, and decimals.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
