My Project
I work in a Title 1, inner city school. My class is comprised of all English Language Learners. They love to learn, especially math. I’m the only monolingual person in the classroom so it’s often very difficult to communicate with children who speak eight different languages. I’ve come to realize that hands on modeling is the most effective and also fun way, for my students to learn. The fractions strips I am requesting will be so useful.
Fractions can be fun but are often difficult to learn.
Using fractions bars will help make learning easier and more fun!
