Fraction Circles: Visualizing Parts, Making Math Click!

Help me give my students Foam Fraction Circles to provide hands-on, visual ways for students to make abstract concepts more concrete. By manipulating the pieces, students can compare sizes, find equivalencies, and develop a deeper understanding of part-whole relationships.

My Project

Our students are curious, eager learners who thrive when given opportunities to explore concepts in meaningful ways. They come from diverse backgrounds and bring unique perspectives to problem-solving.They benefit from hands-on learning experiences that allow them to discover mathematical relationships at their own pace.

Most importantly, they are capable, resilient, and excited to grow as mathematicians when given the right tools!

Through the use of fraction circles we want our students to conceptualize fractions beyond memorization. Working with fraction circles will foster collaborative learning through group activities and discussions, strengthen problem-solving skills by encouraging students to model and explain their thinking, and increase student engagement by making learning interactive and enjoyable.
