My Project
Our students are in a co-taught classroom in a Title I NYC public school, serving both Special Education students and General Education students. They have been working so hard this year to reintegrate into full-person learning and have such a passion for learning.
These fourth graders are the most earnest and hard-working students I have taught throughout my ten years of teaching and they deserve some fun!
We just finished the ELA State Test and we want to complete some fun and engaging projects with them. We will be reading a lot of different fairytales and then students will write their own fairytales in the blank books! We asked the students what they wanted to learn for the rest of the year and they requested to learn origami and make necklaces as a class. We plan to utilize the materials to encourage community in the classroom and foster joy. They deserve the world after this year of hard work!
