My Project

Hi there,

4th year, 4th grade, we need Fourth Grade Rats in our library!

My name is Maria Naranjo and this is my fourth-ish year teaching 4th grade in a Dual Language program. Right off the bat, my students are unfortunately struggling with loving to learn English and especially reading in English. I want them to be excited and motivated to learn English this year so there is no better way than to be able to provide fun reading opportunities for my students. Aside the book title, I believe this will also help me teach social emotional learning skills alongside reading skills. My end goal for this project is for students to be engaged in the reading, learn some of the SEL skills embedded in this book AND be ready and excited to move onto a next book after reading this one.

I am still struggling to gather enough funds for a class set of books, so this would be perfect! Thank you all in advanced.
