My students need double-sided dry erase boards and dry erase markers.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Paul's classroom raised $350
This project is fully funded
My Students
I want to develop my students' mathematical thinking. One of the best ways to do it is by solving problems and sharing multiple ways of getting to a result.
I work with 32 amazing fourth-grade students.
Half of my students have special needs and half of them are general education students. My students are great mathematicians, readers, and writers, who love to engage in scientific inquiries, and are curious about the world around them
My Project
I need each one of my students to have a dry erase slate so they can solve problems individually and share with each other how they arrived at the answer. They can also use the slates to try a possible way of solving a problem, and erase and start over if it doesn't work. With the slates, they can share their work in small groups, and with the class.
In a room full of mathematicians at work, it is important to provide opportunities for everyone to work individually and in small groups.
The slates will facilitate these interactions, and create a space for shared mathematical thinking.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
