This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This is my first year teaching fourth grade. I can use these items to teach math. Students need protractors to learn about angles. I will use the fraction magnets and number lines to teach how to add and subtract with fractions. I want to provide my students with manipulatives to allow them to learn concepts that are more abstract with physical items. Learning fractions, decimals, and multiplication and division will be taught with these items in a small group setting, helping them to learn in a smaller and a much quieter environment. Every child learns a little bit differently, so I try to give them many options.
