My students are energetic and excited about learning. We start middle school in 5th grade so it is their first year to switch classes and can be overwhelming. I will have 5th grade students for a leadership class where and we will work on character development!
My Project
With this project, students will be given the opportunity to read a book in class everyday. Most of my students do not have access to books at home and in school is their only opportunity to read. Students will be able to read in class or if we go home by distance learning I can still provide them with access to materials online to ensure that students are able to read everyday. The ability to read and have discussions afterwards will help students with critical thinking and dissecting a book in its truest form.
