Four Houses...One FAMILY, & ALTRUISMO is Our HOUSE! T-shirt Project
Help me give my students blank T-Shirts, and heat transfer vinyl so they can design and create their own (RCA inspired) ALTRUISMO "Black Out" HOUSE logo to press on their t-shirts.
Our campus has adopted the Ron Clark House System in an effort to build a campus culture of community and belonging. Our school has 4 houses. I am one of the House Leaders for Altruismo. Our house color is black and our symbols include a snake and a diamond. Our house animal is the Griffin.
We are the HOUSE OF GIVERS, Altruismo members volunteered at our local Harvest Hope Food Bank on last year, sorting food items and donating pounds and pounds of food items that we collected through our food drive.
They were so proud of themselves and their House. Our students are grouped into houses similar to Harry Potter, and they have opportunities to contribute to every aspect of our school culture. Each house chooses charities to support during the school year which include pet food drives, can good drives, and we create Veterans Day cards and deliver them to our local VA hospital.
Our project focuses on providing Altruismo House t-shirts for each of our members. Our members range from Pre-K to 5th grade, and we want all students to have a House t-shirt. These would work great when we go in the community on field studies and community service. The "black out" bracelets with the positive affirmations will be given to all members also.
