My Project
My students have so many amazing skills. As we have worked throughout this school year, we have tackled letter sounds, decoding, number recognition, addition, subtraction, and so much more! Their growth has truly amazed me and I am so excited that we can begin using this knowledge to play more games together now that they are able to access these more challenging skills.
One thing I have noticed about the students I work with is that they really shine when given opportunities to show their knowledge in a variety of ways.
Things really begin to stick once we have incorporated multisensory strategies, when they can move around, and when learning is just downright fun. My hope is that these learning games can provide them an opportunity to hone the skills they already have, while providing them opportunities to practice skills that can often be tricky, too.
The games I am requesting take the everyday skills like addition, skip counting and vocabulary and combine them with essential social skills we are working on such as teamwork, turn taking, and following multi-step directions.
