My Project
My 4th grade students need opportunities to use their hands, vision and creativity to develop foundational skills using pencil and paper. While our world has become digital, students benefit from learning to develop design skills with traditional tools.
Students benefit from developing foundational art skills the tools that artists have used for generations, pencil and paper.
Many areas of study utilize design concepts to communicate information and teach ideas and information. History, math, science and literature have used design ideas to transmit important knowledge in society.
Foundational drawing skills helps students to develop spacial awareness, planning and planning skills. These skills will help students in any future endeavor in sciences, arts and communication fields.
