Fostering Social-Emotional Learning and Differentiation in Our Classroom

Help me give my students manipulatives for math, books for reading, materials to laminate center activities, fujifilm and frames for holiday actitivties, and flexible seating options.

My Project

What I love most about my students is their eagerness to grow, both academically and emotionally. They are resilient, creative, and always open to new ways of learning. Each of the resources requested is designed to support their unique learning journey. The SEL books will help my students develop vital emotional intelligence, teaching them how to navigate feelings and relationships, which is critical for their personal growth. The FujiFilm Instax film and printer will encourage their creativity, allowing them to capture memories during holiday projects and giving them a sense of pride in their accomplishments. Laminating sheets will preserve our classroom learning materials, making them durable and reusable for years to come. Flexible seating donuts will offer my students comfortable alternatives to traditional seating, helping them focus better in class. Finally, the base ten blocks and fraction rods will provide hands-on learning experiences for building foundational math skills.

COVID-19 has deeply affected the way my students learn and interact with each other.

Many of them have struggled with disruptions in routine, limited social interaction, and gaps in their foundational learning. The requested resources will help bridge those gaps by directly supporting their academic and social-emotional growth. The SEL books will foster emotional resilience, helping them navigate post-pandemic anxieties and rebuild positive peer relationships. The math manipulatives, such as base ten blocks and fraction rods, will reinforce critical thinking and problem-solving skills that may have been disrupted during remote learning. By providing comfortable and flexible seating, I aim to create a classroom environment where students feel supported and ready to learn.
