My Project
I work with a creative and active group of students with diverse learning needs. My students present with various disabilities, but one thing they have in common is their need to build confidence and independence in their reading skills.
My students, as with most young children, learn best when they are doing something that is active, that involves problem solving, and is "hands-on."
The children in my classroom are emergent with their decoding, integration of phonics letter patterns, memorization of sight words, and reading fluency. The reading center games included in this project will help my students build the necessary skills to become capable readers.
