This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My preschool, special needs students learn best through tangible materials. Specially if they get to create themselves. My students are energetic and ready to learn every day they come to school.

My preschool students with special needs will utilize an enormous amount of hands-on, play-based materials to learn.

I am committed to continuing to provide my students with the necessary tools they will need in their educational journey. COVID-19 has changed the way we teach and reach our students on a daily basis. This has been so hard on my preschool, special education students and their families. My students love having fun and learning at the same time. My students thrive with hands-on materials and it helps foster their creativity.

The construction paper in red, green, black and brown, buttons, scotch tape, sharpie markers, and circle whole puncher will ensure equitable and inclusive creativity and engineering education for all. These materials will be used to foster their minds, enhance their creativity, and create things using their imaginations while using all these materials continues to take place. Arts and crafts are fun and what better way to do them than while together learning and using our imagination! We will be learning about clothes and I cannot think of a better way for my students to learn about it than to make their own clothes creations. They will have to follow directions, take turns, build it on their own, and best of all, they will have to take care of it on a daily basis.
