This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a School Social Worker I am advocating for a Zen Zone for my students to create a safe, positive, and empowering space. I am seeking your assistance to implement a Zen Zone where students are able to learn the skills to help them manage their emotions. The Social Emotional Learning books will help my students understand their mental health and how to ask for help. These book will also help me run groups to target more students. Mental health is important when it comes to a student's successful academic career. The materials I am requesting will help me teach lessons, run groups, and engage my student in enriching activities. Thank you for your support.
