Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My K-2 students are eager for knowledge. Many come from low-income families with limited amount of resources. My job is to motivate and cultivate their minds by creating lessons that will inspire their love of learning through the literature and the arts. Imagine entering school for the first time without being able to communicate with other people? My students need to learn English so that they may be able to communicate their thoughts in class. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

My Project

The materials requested will serve many different purposes. The laptops will allow students to connect with the outside world which in turn enable them to look at videos or images that may be needed to enhance vocabulary instruction. The paints will be used to create artistic paintings related to all subjects. The board games will allow them to work independently in small groups as they increase their phonetic awareness. The partition boards will help during assessments. Having these materials will inspire a love of learning and will allow my students to see that they are worthy of that and more. :)
