This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help my students experience a true crime scene investigation that will help them collect data, as well as determine the science behind the different causes of death. In this project the full person dummy would be used to set up a mock crime scene that students would study and use to collect various types of data in order to solve the crime. The dummy would allow students to have a much more authentic crime scene data collection experience. Students will learn how EMT's that report to a possible crime scene need to follow specific procedures to prevent contaminating the crime scene. They will also learn how evidence from a crime scene can be presented in court by district attorneys. The mock crime scene will also cover the science related to cause and time of death.
