Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A truly great place to read a novel is essential for students because it transforms the reading experience from a task into a cherished activity. While a wealth of books is a fantastic start, as is the case in my classroom, a cumbersome or uninviting environment can be a significant barrier to engagement.
Providing a dedicated reading nook with a rotating bookshelf and two comfortable chairs would create an inviting and accessible space.
This comfortable setting will allow students to relax and fully immerse themselves in the stories, fostering a deeper connection with the literature and nurturing a lifelong love of reading.
Currently, the failing book cart hinders easy access to the collection, making it difficult for students to browse and select books that spark their interest. A great reading space is needed and demonstrates that reading is valued and provides the ideal atmosphere for students to truly appreciate the magic within the pages of a book.
