This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I will be using the decodable readers for my small group reading instruction. It allows my students to becoming stronger in blending while enjoying a good book. I will be using the Biscuit, Splat, Fly Guy, and Pigeon books to encourage them to continue reading outside my small group instruction.

Students recognize those characters and want to read the books in those series.

They love seeing the great art while being to read books that are accessible to their reading level. My goals are to encourage reading while promoting skills that will help students become stronger readers.
