This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Children have a natural passion for learning. We want to take that passion and nurture it to further their learning. English language learner students have an even stronger passion for learning! The materials I have chosen will help my students take that passion and apply to learning reading skills. Learning a new language is difficult and reading in a new language is even harder. Reading is not just reading the words but also understanding it. There are also many components to learning how to read.
The reader theater's sets will help my students develop their fluency in treading.
The magnetic words will help my student learn how to decode. The vocabulary sets and idioms will develop their understanding. Once a student learn all these reading component they will develop a deeper love for reading.
