Help me give my students the love of reading and enjoy reading interesting new articles with Scholastic.

My Students
My students are inquisitive, love learning new things, especially hands-on activities! I teach 3rd grade ICT, which means that some of my students have learning challenges. I teach with an amazing co-teacher. We both care about our students and want them to work to the best of their ability. As a school, we are a diverse community. Their backgrounds are from all around the world!
We are a Title I school which means the majority of students we have are from low-income families; the virus hit our community hard with many family members sick or passed on.
The students I teach are between age 8 and age 9. They are a group that loves to learn. Due to all the challenges of COVID both academically and personally, many students are not on grade level.
I really love what I do, but now I need your help to help me do my job.
My Project
Scholastic News is a resource that I love to use as a teacher. The students are engaged in the articles and we always have great discussions around the articles. In addition, it gives the students a different method of acquiring information other than books or the internet alone. The articles are colorful and they can write on their own personal copy. I also like that they include different genres of text in each copy so that I can compare and contrast the similarities and differences between the different genres. Please invest in my project.
More than half of students from low‑income households
