My students need good books and wobble stools to practice reading for fun!

My Students

Six year olds are amazing. They watch and listen to everything around them. They love to come to school to learn and play.

The most important thing about this age is learning to read.

Children naturally enjoy books and being read to. We learn to read faster if we are surrounded by literature and read to on a regular basis.

This project will not only help me improve my classroom library but it will allow my children to take home books to be read and responded to with family.

My Project

This project will help my students practice reading their favorite books. They will be able to take turns reading and writing about the book of the month.

I want my students to have the same love of reading I did as a child.

The wobble stools will make a fun way to encourage children to practice reading with each other. They make the reading center a fun place to be!

One favorite book a month will be chosen for a child to take home to share and respond to with family. This will help to get our families involved in the reading process one at a time.
