Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are 4 year olds turning 5 this year. At this age, and due to the pandemic, my students have never had the experience of school before! I hope to make it as welcoming, engaging, and supportive as possible. With that said, my school is based in South Central Los Angeles, where the majority of my students are English language learners, some speaking no English at all.
My Project
ETK is a class that thrives on hands-on activities, learning to play, and exploration. As a teacher at a Title I school, set materials can be hard to come by. With that said, the materials donated will allow my students to engage with their learning in a positive manner. It will also encourage my students to develop a love for education, which will only create a greater impact on their future! We are shaping the future of today’s world, and it is crucial that we provide them the space and resources to learn!
