The children in my class are all very special, each in their own individual ways. Many of my students are ELL and for most of them, this will be their first experience with school. They are from an inner-city neighborhood, with many things going on in their little lives. They have many outside events that distract them throughout the day. They have a lot of energy. Sitting and focusing are just added factors that interfere with their learning. They are a very diverse group of children with many different needs.
My Project
This project allows my students to learn in many different ways. Hands-on activities are the best way for little ones to learn. With puzzles and games, children are also able to practice social skills and build a cooperative learning environment. With basic supplies, children lose the burden and worry of not having the supplies they need to complete tasks.
Headsets for Kindles are necessary in order to help my students focus on the activity and or task that is required.
They also help with noise control.
The supplies requested will benefit my students learning the whole year through and will build a happy learning community.
