My Students
What better way to get kids to like informational text then through the use of Kids Time Magazines? It will not only immerse them in reading current events but also share with them a different type of text (magazines).
I have a variety of different learning levels in my classroom but every student has the willingness to learn and be successful.
My school is a Title I school with a high poverty index. Many of my students' only source of learning materials such as educational come from the classroom. Their willingness to learn is my motivation to teach. Finding funding for the resources they need to help them be successful learners is my goal.
My Project
My students need subscriptions to Time For Kids Magazines. With the materials that I am requesting I will provide students with the opportunity to enhance their reading through the use of magazines that contain current events in the world. Students will use the magazines to complete various projects and share with others. My hope is that students will begin to understand and like informational text and want to learn more about the world around them.
With your donation I will be able to introduce students to current events and also deepen their knowledge and love for reading informational text.
It will allow several of my students the opportunity to read something other than a traditional book. It will broaden their experience with real-life experience around the world.
