I teach 20 intellectually, culturally, and economically diverse kindergarten students who live in North Little Rock, AR. In my classroom, I strive to make sure that each student's needs are met. Kindergarten is the foundation for a child's future academic success, and I try to foster their love for learning by teaching them to learn how to read, express themselves through writing, and apply mathematical concepts.
Developmental kindergarten is such an exciting group of mixed interests, abilities, and goals.
Some of my students are learning to read, write, and count, while some of their classmates are learning to imitate sounds or hold a pencil. My group loves to spend time together on the carpet, learn new games, and boogie to a sweet tune. All of my students are very unique and I love learning with them.
My Project
Christmas is right around the corner, and Santa is coming to visit Lakewood Elementary School. We have received the best news that Dollar General is willing to match all donations given on Thursday, October 21, 2021. Through the donations made by our amazing parents and friends combined with the matches made by Dollar General store, books will be purchased for EVERY student at LWE. Those books will be wrapped by Santa's elves and delivered by Santa himself before we leave for Christmas break. We cannot think of a better way to start the holidays than with the joy of reading and keeping our imaginations inspired.
