This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My 32 students are from a Title I school and learned online for most of 3rd grade. The amount of time in our school day has been extended, but it is challenging for students to sit in hard plastic chairs when they had so much flexibility at home during distance learning to move around as needed. As a result, they have a lot of energy and need to be empowered to wiggle as they work. More small group instruction to meet their various needs and more collaboration time to practice both social skills and their academic skills are needed They need to talk about the math as they play games, solve problems, and analyze books together during our literacy time.
Please help support my class by providing seating that students can easily move to their small group stations and collaborate together while I meet the various needs of my students in ability groups.
The ECR4Kids ACE Active Core Engagement Wobble Stool, ECR4Kids Twist Wobble Stool, and Classroom Select NeoRok Stool Active Wobble Seating will provide students stools to wiggle on while collaborating. Furthermore, students will share and utilize the wobble seats during our whole class lessons to improve their focus. The Flagship Carpets Into the Sea Stow N Go Carpet Rounds will provide students further flexible seating as they move to the floor to play math games and read together.
