This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love my students’ curiosity, resilience, and their eagerness to grow, no matter the challenges they face. Each day, they show up ready to learn, bringing unique perspectives and a willingness to engage deeply. With the purchase of new books, I can offer them stories and information that reflect their diverse backgrounds and spark critical thinking. These resources will help improve literacy, build empathy, and foster a lifelong love of reading. Access to high-quality texts empowers my students to dream bigger and believe in their potential.

I love how my students come to kindergarten not knowing that letters make sounds, and letters put together make a word.

By fostering that love of books, students will be able to develop that sense of literacy and become life long learners.
