My Project
Hi, I’m a proud Black woman and special education teacher. Every day, I welcome young black boys into my classroom who are full of potential, energy, and heart.
But too often, they enter spaces that don’t feel made for them.
I’m building a classroom that says, “You are safe here. You are seen. You belong.” A place with cozy corners, calm-down tools, sensory supports, and materials that meet their needs—emotionally, academically, and culturally.
