My Students

I am the lucky teacher of 22 vivacious and curious fourth graders. We represent almost all the countries on the globe. From China to Africa to the Philippines. We live in San Francisco, California, and have the privilege of living in a wonderfully diverse city that is truly represented in our classroom.

We love to read, write, play, dance, and sing.

We play sports, solve problems, and work hard to make the world we live in a better place. I am so proud of all of them. Especially during this difficult time with trying to learn, yet not together.

My Project

We are coming back to the classroom, but not all of us. Over the last year, our classrooms have sat as an empty time capsule of the before times. Students across the globe have struggled, and our students are no exception.

Despite the distance, we want an equitable learning experience for all our students.

Having this document camera and screen will allow for the students to be able to continue to learn together despite whether the learning is taking place in our classroom or on Zoom. Our classroom's current projector screen has been damaged from sun exposure over the time we have been gone, and having a high-resolution document camera will allow me to project simultaneously to students in the classroom and on the computer.

We are looking forward to being back in person, but we want all the students to be as together as possible. Having the projector and the screen will help bridge the gap between our Roomers and Zoomers.
