My students need a Roland HS-5 rehearsal system in order for many different modern band groups to practice at one time, in one room, without disturbing each other.

My Students
We are starting a brand new school in Cleveland that is centered around the International Baccalaureate curriculum. It has been over 20 years since a new high school has opened in Cleveland and we want to hit the ground running! Our students come from all over Cleveland and represent a dynamic mix of ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. The students, however, have one characteristic that truly stands out: their love and eagerness for learning. We are wanting to create a dynamic music program that can reach out to our great mix of cultures so that everyone is involved. IN being a new school, it is up to me and my students to create that program and it starts with a solid foundation in band, orchestra, percussion, and modern band classes.
My Project
The Roland HS-5 and headsets will allow my students to plug in a modern band and allow them to rehearsal without disturbing the rest of class. With a bigger class, several modern bands need to practice at the same time and that would be very noisy to have 5 bands in one room practicing! This will allow me to use class time most efficiently and more than one group can practice at one time, so they will end up with more confidence and sound better at the same time! My modern band class is designed to give students the ability to record music and eventually enter college in popular music fields.
