This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We propose the establishment of a community garden at our school, managed by our students, with the primary purpose of feeding our school neighborhood. This initiative will not only provide fresh produce but also foster a sense of community, responsibility, and environmental awareness among students.
Our students need organic soil, seeds (vegetables and herbs), gardening tools (water cans, net trellis, and compost bags.
This community garden will serve as an educational tool while addressing food insecurity in our neighborhood. Students will gain valuable life skills and take pride in contributing to the well-being of their community. With your support, we can create a sustainable garden that nourishes both the body and spirit of our school community. Together, let’s grow a healthier future!
