For a Rainy Day

My project needs are 3 connect four games, 2 Uno card games, 1 Safe-Putt golf game, and 1 Twister Game.

This project is fully funded

Rainy days don't have to be excruciating! I teach in a dense inner city area. My students often are not allowed to play outside because it is simply too dangerous.

As a result, recess at school is the only unstructured social playtime that my students experience. Now that they weather is cold, wet, and cranky, the children are having to spend their breaks in the classroom. This can be very frustrating, especially when the activities available are just variations of academic behaviors.

I am asking for several games and activities that will stimulate my students during their breaks and indoor recess time. The fun that my students have playing helps them learn in the long run, and provides them with meaningful social interactions they need to develop into well adjusted human beings.

Please help me give my students the "break" they deserve. My students' academic achievement depends on their physical and emotional health. This proposal intends to have a positive effect on both.
