This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 5th-grade students are from a low-income area. They need a lot of love and plenty of positive reinforcement. There are plenty of fantastic role models in my class and others are working to improve themselves academically and emotionally. They love to help each other. Most of them have been together since kindergarten, but we do have a few new students.
My students have goals to reach grade-level expectations and beyond!
They are determined to practice, practice, and practice to strengthen their skills. We will encourage and challenge each other to reach our goals!
My Project
It's the germs' world and we're just living in it! Battling germs was a battle even before COVID. Kids are messy! They're losing teeth, blowing their nose, and touching their masks. Yuck!
Help keep our class clean with hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes.
These materials will help us cut down on the time it takes to hand wash and allow students the choice of hand washing versus hand sanitizing. We use hand sanitizer on our way out, and make the choice of hand washing or sanitizing on the way in. We would like to clean our desks and other surfaces too.
