My Students

"You are a light. You are the light. Never let anyone — any person or any force — dampen, dim or diminish your light … Release the need to hate, to harbor division, and the enticement of revenge. Release all bitterness. Hold only love, only peace in your heart, knowing that the battle of good to overcome evil is already won." John Lewis

They are the light of our future and my students need to know they have the capabilities of accomplishing any with hard work, creativity, and self-belief.

My students are special because they are full of wonder and their eagerness to learn new things. The eyes of my kiddos get so big when I introduce hands-on activities, where they have the opportunity to manipulate, build, or create something new. I love seeing the curiosity within their eyes, it's rare when you can have something that can intrigue your students that's not link to a computer or tablet.

My Project

"Literature is one of the most interesting and significant expressions of Humanity." P.T. Barnum

Books are essential tools for my students learning, exploring, experiencing and expressing ones abilities to empathize with others life lessons.

These books will provide my students the ability to understand cultural diversity, socioeconomic status, inequality, as well as equality within their community and around the world.

As an educator, I can expose my students to different perspectives of others, whether positive or negative, they need to know how people may perceive them in the communities. Diversity in literature is the key for my students to have an open mind into experiencing, exploring, learning, and empathizing with others.
