Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students I serve face many challenges with their language. My students are impacted by learning disabilities and need hands-on approaches to learning outside the norm of paper and pen lessons.
I have the honor of teaching special needs students.
The students in my class range from Kindergarten through 5th grade. They all have specific needs and varying language levels. Children with disabilities often need hands-on and interactive learning opportunities to grasp and understand our spoken language.
My Project
Alphabet, Numbers and Counting are just a few of the basic themes students learn about throughout the school year. Without grasping these basic skills and concepts students will fall behind. The alphabet knowledge activity box and the numbers and counting theme box will enrich my students' language and math skills. These materials will allow my students to work at their own pace.
These materials will allow my students to visually see the letters and numbers, trace, and physically manipulate the items.
All students learn in different ways. By donating these materials you are giving my students a chance to set and succeed in their Footprints of Language.
