This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hard working and dedicated young ladies and gentlemen. They come from an urban district where funds and materials are hard to come by. However, our students continuously impress me and the community in the success in the classroom and in athletics. We have several sports teams that consistently win conference championships each year, and we also have several students play at the next level each year. Every few years we do have special athletes that get scholarships to play at the college level.

My Project

My students come from an inner city school district without many resources, and our football field equipment was destroyed by raccoons that got into our storage container last fall. We salvaged what we could but are in need of some basic new equipment. Our team is currently 3X defending conference champions, and we consistently send players to the next level to play football each year. Our students always do a tremendous job fundraising up to $10,000 a year, but I am trying to not use the students' fundraising money to replace this equipment. Any help replacing the destroyed equipment would be appreciated beyond words!
