Foods Class Night of Artistry

Help me give my students the equipment and food resources they need to show off their developing kitchen skills.

My Project

Once a year, the Foods students get to show off their cooking and baking skills for the community. For weeks, both in class and after, the students prepare ingredients, chop, peel, bake, and cook for the evening. They design an appetizer, a baked good, drinks, and whole pies for sale. The Night of Artistry is a time for the students to dress in their best black and white outfits, on top of which they add a fancy bow tie, chef's hat, and apron. These kids will be waiting on the community members with food and drink balanced on gold serving trays. If students aren't interested in being seen and serving, they can choose to work in-house, where they will be putting the finishing touches on the dishes, plating the food, and carting it to the waitstaff.

The Night of Artistry is a source of pride and enjoyment for food students.
